Nashiro is the captain of the Hitan-nashi Support Team. Nashiro is short for “Nashi Alien Ichiro.” He came to Earth when his spaceship malfunctioned during a space journey. The people at the pear orchards in Hita City, where he happened to land, treated him kindly, so apparently he decided to promote Hitan-nashi in return. While promoting Hitan-nashi and Oita Prefecture on Twitter and elsewhere, he participates in pear events in the city and works hard to help more people learn about Hitan-nashi and Nashiro!
