Zenkai-kun is the character of Hon-Yabakei Town. He was created in 2005 to energize and promote Hon-Yabakei Town, and is said to be a descendant of Zenkai, the Buddhist priest who built Ao-no-Domon, one of the town's tourist attractions. He works hard on PR activities by sharing the appeal of Hon-Yabakei Town and event information on Facebook and attending events.
