Oita Prefecture mascot character Mejiron. Mejiron was born as the PR character for the Oita National Sports Festival held in Heisei 20 (2008). After the event, he became Oita Prefecture’s mascot and works to support residents and energize the prefecture while valuing “everyone’s smiles and spirit of challenge”!
