Official Nakatsu Castle mascot character Ok-kun is modeled on Tadamasa Okudaira, the great-grandson of Tokugawa Ieyasu. The real Hakuchōzaya no Yari spear, like the one he always carries, is apparently displayed at the museum in Nakatsu Castle's keep. He visits club activities at high schools in Nakatsu City to encourage them and takes part in city events, working to bring energy not only to Nakatsu Castle but also to Nakatsu City.
