Although Kitsuki is a production area for conger pike, the fish had not previously been familiar locally, so a conger-pike yurukyara was created in December 2014 to make it a regional specialty. He is dressed as a samurai to match the image of the castle town, and even his topknot and sword are designed as conger pike.
