Taramaru and Beniko are the Iwanai Exploration Team. The older brother, Taramaru, and younger sister, Beniko, were modeled on Alaska pollock in Iwanai Town, the birthplace of Alaska pollock longline fishing. Taramaru dresses like a fisherman, with a twisted headband and rubber boots, and holds asparagus, a local specialty. Athletic and active in sports, Taramaru has been gaining popularity following a television appearance. Could the two also have a younger brother?
