Tomachop is Tomakomai City's official character. The name combines elements of Tomakomai, swan, Japanese iris, surf clam, and haskap berry. With a swan-inspired appearance, Tomachop works every day to promote Tomakomai's attractions. Tomachop was born at Lake Utonai in the city, but... cannot swim. Skating, however, is a specialty!
