Miyada Village image character Miya-san. This dog fairy was born through collaboration between junior high school students in the village and volunteer groups to commemorate Miyada Village’s 60th anniversary. Inspired by the local specialty Miyada tofu, the ears are decorated with the village’s special symbol, the koma usuyuki-so flower, which blooms only on Mount Kisokoma. A bell inspired by the Eternal Bell in the Komagane Highlands is attached to the collar. Miya-san works to promote the appeal of Miyada Village and help more people learn about it.
