Nakahaman, the Shinshu Nakagawa Half Marathon Mascot Character, may be Japan's first mascot character dedicated solely to a marathon!? He wears a hat made from the Tenryu River flowing through the village and specialty apples, holds a carp streamer in one hand, and works hard in PR activities to convey the Shinshu Nakagawa Half Marathon and “the joy of running.”
