Twin-weave support character Futako. Warabi was once nationally famous during the Meiji period for twin weave, but it declined with the passage of time and was said to be a “phantom textile.” It was recreated from historical materials and returned in modern times as New Warabi Twin Weave, with products including bolts of fabric, business-card holders, pouches, ties, and bags. Futako is a girl who promotes the appeal of twin weave. She wears a ribbon made from twin weave and works hard to promote its appeal throughout Japan.
