Warabi City mascot character Angel Waraboo. He was created in 2009, the year commemorating the 50th anniversary of the city’s municipal administration, from a design by an artist from the city, and unveiled in 2015. He is apparently inspired by the “happy sleeping pig”; piglets are said to symbolize prosperity in Europe and the United States. He remains active for Warabi City while wishing that “all citizens can live safely and happily.”
