Mitake Town symbol character Miimo-kun. In Heisei 22, he was selected from among submitted works as an eco-symbol character and was created by high school students. He was later renewed in Heisei 25, and as Mitake Town began operating as an environmental model city, he was promoted to Mitake Town symbol character and was also issued an appointment letter. Active as “a forest fairy born in the forests of Mitake,” he promotes Mitake Town and environmental conservation activities.
