Ikeda Town mascot character Chachamaru. This character was selected from entries submitted and voted on by residents and unveiled in April 2015 to commemorate the town's 60th anniversary. Based on a rabbit, its ears are tea-colored so it can promote Ikeda Town's specialty, Mino Ibicha tea, and it was named Chachamaru. Chachamaru appears at events while sharing various information on Twitter, adding “chacha.” to the end of sentences, and is gaining popularity.
