Saika Festival "Seki Hasshu Yosakoi Festa" character Saika-chan (Saika-chan) is the image character of Asaka City's annual citizens' festival, held every August, and is also based on the "Seki Hasshu Yosakoi Festa" held during Saika Festival. She wears a launched firework on her head and holds naruko clappers in her hands. The Seki Hasshu Yosakoi Festa is said to have been the first festival of naruko dancing held on Honshu, in 1994. Saika-chan was created through an open call at the 2001 Saika Festival and also represents Asaka City's pure rivers and nature.
