Ebechun is a character for Ebetsu City. Ebechun always holds a favorite food, locally grown Haruyutaka wheat, in the right hand and sheds tears of emotion—perhaps because the wheat tastes so good? The head is square because it is modeled on a brick, and apparently it is too heavy to allow Ebechun to fly. Ebechun is active mainly at events in Hokkaido!
