Shizuoka Prefecture image character Fujippy. He was created as the character for a sports competition in Heisei 15 and became Shizuoka Prefecture's character after the competition ended. The name “Fujippy” apparently combines the four words Mount Fuji, happy, peace, and people, and was selected from submitted entries. Fujippy loves food produced in Shizuoka and appears at events, working for Shizuoka Prefecture with “do your best” as his motto.
