Taga Town's mascot character, Tagayuichan, is an eternally five-year-old girl modeled on a shrine maiden at Taga Taisha. She is also the name of an asteroid discovered by the town's observatory and is active at events in the town and festivals at Taga Taisha while carrying the town's flower, sasayuri.
