Ritto City mascot character Kurichan. He is a boy chestnut who was created as a lifelong learning character and became the city’s mascot character in 2014. He weighs as much as 2,000 chestnuts, and his birthday is Christmas. His hobby is “cheering everyone up and making them happy with his big, round, chestnut-like eyes and smile.” He appears at various events throughout Japan and works to promote Ritto City.
