Makinohara City's local yuru character, Makity, is a boy who was born in 2008 as a tea-leaf fairy and likes Makinohara tea. He is usually about the size of a human, but apparently is actually about as large as Mount Fuji. He promotes the city while enjoying looking out over Makinohara City from Mount Fuji.
