Sakabe District's yurukyara, Sakabecchi. This character was created to energize Sakabe District. Its face is a mandarin, its body is lettuce, and its hands and feet are tea, all designed after local specialties. The heart marks on its cheeks are said to be filled with “the feelings of the district's residents.” Sakabecchi appears at events to promote Sakabe District.
