HACCP Promotion Ambassador Hasappukun is a boy character born in 2007. If a product manufactured in Hokkaido bears a Hassap-kun label, it apparently means that the product was made in an environment managed safely. Municipalities outside Hokkaido are also apparently increasingly adopting this system.
