Soeda Town mascot characters Hiko-chan and Yuzu-chan. They were created in 2011 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the town administration, and the two are notable for their yamabushi outfits. The boy Hiko-chan was named after Mount Hiko, with its beautiful nature, and the girl Yuzu-chan was named after the local specialty yuzu pepper.
