Mikkun is a boy born through a public application process in 1999, the year the town marked its 30th anniversary, to help make Nagayō Town a better place. Hassaku is Mikkun’s grandfather. The two are inspired by the town’s specialty products, mandarins and hassaku citrus, and represent their family of seven in promoting Nagayō Town!
