Omura City mascot character Omuranchan. She is a cherry-blossom fairy created in 2012 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the city system, with the city flower Ōmura cherry as her inspiration. Her name combines Omura City and “RUN,” expressing energetic running. She appears at events inside and outside Omura City to encourage affection for the city and share its charms.
