Karatsu Castle mascot character Kara-wan-kun. He is a three-year-old boy dog who was born in 2008, the 400th anniversary of Karatsu Castle’s construction. Wearing Karatsu City’s symbol mark on his chest, he participates in many events while taking walks as a hobby and promotes the charms of Karatsu City and Karatsu Castle.
