The officially authorized mascot character promoting the registration of the Takayama-sha site as a World Heritage site. The Takayama-sha site is a component property of the Tomioka Silk Mill and Related Sites. Mayudaman works to convey Fujioka City's history and culture of sericulture. The helmet represents a silkworm's face, while the arms and legs are inspired by mulberry leaves. The "ma" on the body is the character's special charm.
