Saimaru is the character of Sansai Station. He was unveiled in 2016 to promote Sansai Station on the Shinano Railway. He was born on March 3 and is eternally 33 years old, and is said to have a three-year-old boy. Wearing a station staff uniform and carrying his beloved sansai in his pocket, he promotes Sansai Station at the station and events so that more people learn about it and come to visit.
