Hokkaido Shiribeshi General Subprefectural Bureau character Chirobeshi. He is a boy Ezo red fox who supports the food, alcohol, and travel of Hokkaido’s Shiribeshi region. His name combines Shiribeshi, pronounced “Shiribeshi,” with chironnup, the Ainu word for fox. Apparently, his shell shoulder bag contains delicious things from Shiribeshi. He visits events and works hard so that more people will learn about the attractions of Shiribeshi.
