Kaizu City character Kaizucchi. He is a boy fox born near Chiyoho Inari Shrine in the city. The character was inspired by a fox because Chiyoho Inari Shrine has fox-shaped komainu, and was selected from entries to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the merger of Hirata Town, Kaizu Town, and Nanno Town. Symbols and specialty products of the three towns, including the Kiso Three Rivers, melons, oranges, and the tower, are incorporated into the design. He appears at various events to promote Kaizu City and “give everyone good fortune.”
