Abiko Kappa Festival image character Abika-chan. This kappa girl was selected from submitted designs and created to enliven the Abiko Kappa Festival, held annually in Abiko City. She wears a yukata bearing the city emblem, while her head plate carries Lake Tega, the city bird, the Eurasian coot, and the city flower, the azalea. With the Kappa Ondo and kappa dance as her special skills, she appears not only at the Abiko Kappa Festival but also at many events.
