Unofficial goodwill ambassador for Tomioka Mayūyū. Mayūyū appeared after 140 years had passed in order to “share the culture of silk from the town of Tomioka with the world.” Mayūyū lives in Mayūyū Land and is apparently one of the eight million gods protecting the Tomioka Silk Mill. Mayūyū descends upon various event venues while sharing information about Tomioka City and the silk mill in Gunma dialect on Twitter and elsewhere.
