Kitahiroshima City special tourism ambassador Nonta. This character was created in October 1991 with a liquor-loving tanuki from a folktale passed down in Saijo, Kitahiroshima City, as its motif, and was appointed the city’s special tourism ambassador in March 2013. Nonta interacts with many people by appearing mainly at events, festivals, and restaurants in Kitahiroshima City.
