Innoshima image character, Hassakun. Hassakun is a boy who debuted through the Innoshima Chamber of Commerce and Industry after being selected from 823 entries submitted in a search for Innoshima's yuru character. It is said that domestic cultivation of hassaku citrus, a local specialty, began in Innoshima. With the “no” character on his belly as his charming feature, he appears at events inside and outside the prefecture to promote the island's attractions and encourage people to visit.
