Kanrachan is Kanra Town's image character. The green armor and helmet are inspired by Rakuzan-en, a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty in Kanra Town. They depict the town flower, Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms, and the Ogawazeki waterway, which has also been selected among Japan's 100 Famous Water Sources. Kanrachan was selected from public entries and unveiled in November 2013. She appears at many events in the town, neighboring prefectures, and elsewhere.
