Tsurumaru is an eternally five-year-old boy who is spoiled and, surprisingly, bilingual. He appears in introductory videos for the Kushiro Wetland, Lake Akan, and Lake Mashu areas, and wants to travel all over Japan whenever it is for tourism promotion.
