Muroran City mascot character. Kujiran is a whale character born in 1991 from among designs submitted by citizens, inspired by the fact that dolphins and whales can apparently be observed in Muroran's Funka Bay. He is familiar to people through various uses, including on city vehicles, street signs, shutters, sweets, and handicrafts.
