Miyako City PR characters Salmon-kun and Miyako-chan are twin siblings who debuted at the Miyako Salmon Half Marathon held in November 2012. The older brother, Salmon-kun, wears a headband, while the younger sister, Miyako-chan, has salmon-roe pom-poms on her head. They travel to many places throughout Japan and work together to promote Miyako, the town of salmon!
