Mobara City mascot character Mobarin is an alien who came from the planet Mobara to liven up Mobara City. Since Mobarin also serves as the character of Mobara City's Tanabata Festival, the hairstyle is inspired by the Milky Way. Mobarin became the city's mascot in November 2012, when Mobara City celebrated its 60th anniversary, and works hard to enliven beloved Mobara City.
