Asahi City image-enhancement character Asapī. Asapī is an energetic male chick who was created in Heisei 24 after being selected from entries submitted by elementary school students and older people living in or commuting to Asahi City. He evokes a town where agriculture, fishing, and livestock farming flourish. He began promotional activities in April of Heisei 25 and is active at many events.
