Yoshimi Town character Yoshimin. Based on strawberries, a specialty product of Yoshimi Town, the black parts of the seeds represent the Yoshimi Hyakuana, a national-designated historic site. The 2537 on Yoshimin's chest represents the river width in meters of the Arakawa River flowing between Yoshimi Town and Kōnosu City, said to be the widest in Japan. Yoshimin was also issued a special resident certificate and is active at events to promote Yoshimi Town.
