Isesaki Monja mascot character Mojaro. Isesaki Monja is Isesaki City's soul food: a monjayaki aiming for the nostalgic flavor it had when it was a standard children's snack, rather than the recently popular “monja with lots of ingredients.” Mojaro was created in 2005 to promote Isesaki Monja. In 2014, Mojaro became an officially recognized character of Isesaki City and has attracted attention by appearing at events in various places, adding “moja” to the end of messages on Twitter and Facebook while sharing not only the appeal and information of Isesaki Monja but also information about Isesaki City, including the Isesaki Festival.
