The food-education character of Fuji City, Musubin debuted in 2010 after combining Mount Fuji and an onigiri. Musubin was created through a public competition so that people could enjoy engaging in food education. In addition to food education, Musubin was appointed a Fuji City PR ambassador and appears at various events while sharing the city's appeal on Facebook and elsewhere.
