Fuji Honcho Shopping Street mascot character Ropety. Ropety wears a dress featuring roses, the flower of Fuji City. She was unveiled in 2013, and her name comes from the initials of rose, paper, and tea, reflecting Fuji City’s thriving tea-leaf production and silk-reeling industry. She is apparently inspired by the Kinsyoji cat in the city and works hard by visiting various events so that more people will learn about the attractions of Fuji City.
