Shibuzaru-kun is Shibu Onsen's character. Shibu Onsen has a 1,300-year history and offers “retro townscapes that cannot be recreated today.” Since Jigokudani Monkey Park is near the hot springs, he is modeled on a monkey. As “the local character with the world's narrowest range,” he is active while sharing information about Shibu Onsen and the town's appearance on Twitter.
