The mascot character of the Shirokuro Take-shoku Kaido, Shiron-chan is a girl based on the Japanese white-eye, the city's bird. She debuted in May 2013 as the character of the Shirokuro Take-shoku Kaido, founded by restaurant owners in the city who came together to revitalize Nagaokakyo City through food. Kuron Papa rides on her head. She likes the local specialty Galasha ankake yakisoba, and apparently hides beautiful legs beneath her skirt!? Her forbidden phrase is “Big!”
