Chichibu Railway original characters Paleo and Palena. Paleo, the blue character, debuted in Heisei 13, and Palena, the pink character, debuted in Heisei 20 as promotional characters for the Paleo Express, “the steam locomotive closest to central Tokyo”! They are based on the marine beast Paleoparadoxia and are active at Kumagaya Station, where the steam locomotive departs, and at events!
