Kariya City mascot character Katsunari-kun. Inspired by Kariya Domain’s first lord, Mizuno Katsunari, and kakitsubata, the city flower, Katsunari-kun is a boy born in Tenmon 2 to commemorate the 480th anniversary of the construction of Kariya Castle. Energetic and unwilling to lose, he enjoys building castles and is active at events.
