Tome City tourism PR character Hatton has a white body shaped like Tome City. His cheeks are represented by carrots, his legs by green onions, his arms by abura-fu wheat gluten, and his tail by potatoes, all ingredients of the local dish “hattō-jiru.” His mouth is inspired by the city's bird, the swan. He works hard in PR activities to share Tome City's appeal and encourage more people to eat hattō-jiru.
