Namekawa City image promotion characters Kirarin and Pikka. Blue Kirarin is a girl born with the city’s specialty firefly squid as her motif, and she is apparently skilled at the city’s traditional dance, Shinkawa Kodaijin. Her younger brother Pikka, who is pink, is apparently skilled at helping with firefly squid fishing. The yukata they wear features the city emblem. They promote Namekawa City by appearing at events in Japan and overseas and on television.
