Since childhood, Komekamakun has played by paddling the Uono River with a rice paddle. Komekamakun has also traveled along famous rivers such as the Shinano and Agano. Seeing rice-farming households declining there, Komekamakun decided to protect their hometown. Komekamakun is currently active as a rice evangelist and rice-paddy consultant.
